The OES manual (beta) offers a first introduction to working with the Open Encyclopedia System (OES). It is organised in several handbooks describing different aspects of the OES plattform, among others content creation and maintenance, the use of the Gutenberg editor, referencing internal data and external databases, configuration options of OES and the customisation of the OES block theme via the website editor.

Please note: As OES is realised as a WordPress plugin, experience in working with the WordPress content management system is essential for using OES. There are numerous tutorials on the internet for an introduction to WordPress, we refer to these at the appropriate points in the OES manual.

The OES manual is a work-in-progress. Topics in the form of handbooks will be added successively, contributions are welcome.
