What's new?
- Introduction of Shortcode Modules and Tool (this allows shortcodes for alternative visualisation of content such as maps to be easily created and edited via a configuration interface),
- Introduction of the ‘Search Terms’ block, which displays search results for taxonomies separately,
- Introduction of a visual verification tool for the data model configuration for bidirectional fields,
- Introduction of the attachment class so that a separate individual visualisation can be used for media objects,
- Introduction of OES panel classes so that images and galleries can be displayed according to the OES standard,
- Addition for the field shortcode ([oes_field ...]) to also be able to use fields from the respective parent object,
- Addition for the ‘Display’, ‘Sorting’ and ‘Archive’ title option, which now also takes date fields into account,
- Preparations for non-Latin alphabets,
- as well as various other small improvements for performance and stability.
With the initial version of OES Map Module, data can be visualised as points on an Open Street Map. The module uses the open source libraries Open Street Map (https://www.openstreetmap.org) and leaflet (https://leafletjs.com). A configuration interface can be used to create shortcodes that display contributions of an OES post type with geographical data on a map. The module is available at https://github.com/open-encyclopedia-system/oes-map.
For the OES Media Module with version 1.2.4. extensions and improvements have been made in order to be able to integrate the new developments from the OES Core. In particular, the performance of OES Gallery blocks has been improved and print outputs have been taken into account.
With version 1.2.1, the OES Timeline Module releases a new design as well as configuration options for the colours via the OES Settings.
