Prof. Beatrice Gründler, Prof. Isabel Toral and Dr. Johannes Stephan, Arabic Studies at Freie Universität Berlin, have been awarded a DFG Grant to fund a three year project titled “Keywords for the Study of Arabic Literary and Manuscript Traditions” (KALiMaT). The project aims to publish the literary-historical living handbook KALiMaT online and in Open Access, with 48 bilingual (Arabic and English) articles and an additional community section. KALiMaT is the first OES application to edit and publish articles in non-latin script. CeDiS as project partner will implement KALiMaT on the basis of the Open Encyclopedia System software. The project will start on October 1st 2024.
